MCP Server

Connect Claude Desktop or any MCP-compatible AI to your Sociylo account — no installation required.

Control Sociylo entirely through conversation. Connect Claude Desktop to your account and ask it to generate posts, manage your Brand DNA, schedule content, and publish to social platforms — all without opening the app.

No software to install. No repository to clone. Just a URL and an API key.

What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants call external tools. Sociylo hosts an MCP server at api.sociylo.com/mcp — once you add it to Claude Desktop, Claude can read and write your Sociylo data on your behalf.

Step 1 — Create an API key

  1. Log in at app.sociylo.com
  2. Go to Settings → API Keys
  3. Click Create API key and give it a name like Claude Desktop
  4. Copy the key — it’s shown only once

Step 2 — Add Sociylo to Claude Desktop

Open your Claude Desktop config file:

  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
  • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

Add the Sociylo entry inside mcpServers:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "sociylo": {
      "type": "streamable-http",
      "url": "https://api.sociylo.com/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer sk-sociylo-your-key-here"
      }
    }
  }
}

Replace sk-sociylo-your-key-here with the key from Step 1. Save the file and restart Claude Desktop.

Step 3 — Start chatting

Open a new Claude conversation. You should see the Sociylo tools in the tool picker (hammer icon). Try:

  • “Show me all my Sociylo projects”
  • “What’s the Brand DNA for project 3?”
  • “Generate a LinkedIn post about our new pricing for project 5”
  • “Save that as a draft and schedule it for next Monday at 9 am”
  • “Create a week of Instagram posts for project 2 starting June 1st”
  • “Publish post 42 to LinkedIn now”

“Read the Brand DNA for project 2, then update the tone to be more conversational and add ‘innovation’ and ‘simplicity’ to the keywords.”

Quick publish:

“Generate an Instagram post about our new feature launch for project 3, improve it to sound more exciting, then save it as a draft.”

Revoking access

To remove Claude’s access to your account, go to Settings → API Keys in the app and click Revoke next to the key. Claude Desktop will immediately lose access.

Other MCP clients

Any MCP-compatible client supports the same URL. Use type: "streamable-http" for clients that support the current MCP spec, or point to https://api.sociylo.com/mcp/sse with type: "sse" for older SSE-only clients.

Developers: A local Python MCP server that proxies the Sociylo REST API is available in the mcp/ folder of the repository. This is intended for development and testing against a custom API URL — the hosted server above is the recommended approach for all users.
